For international students, it is an opportunity to live in a friendly home with an American family, experience the American lifestyle and culture up close, and practice your English language skills. The host will provide a private, completely furnished bedroom and a private or shared bathroom. American breakfast and dinner options are available for a fee. Lory was born in San Francisco and raised in Hawaii before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 25 years of combined experience in hosting internationals, holds a degree in fashion design and merchandising, extensive work experience opening and managing offices for private and public corporations, coordinating events and leading travel and hospitality consulting teams in Hawaii. Lory is also a world traveler, an accomplished Jazz singer and artist in the local community.

Renon has an extensive background in the world of content with over 15 years of experience in team management, sales and branding. Coming from a background in the arts and music, Renon has had the opportunity to work with many of Atlanta’s art dealers, an Atlanta journal magazine, retail companies and many young entrepreneurs on their personal projects.

Is Atlanta Homestays only for ESL students?
No. In addition to placing ESL students, Atlanta Homestays also place visiting scholars, business professionals and interns.
How long does it take to get my host family contact information?
Once the completed application and placement fee are received, the host background and contact information will be sent as soon as possible.
What if I’m not happy in my homestay?
Every effort is made to place homestay guests with compatible host families but sometimes there may be a personality conflict. Atlanta Homestays will work with both parties to resolve the problem; however, if there is no resolution, the student will be placed with another family, with no additional cost.
